League leaders AC Milan are set to welcome Juventus FC to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in a titanic
Serie A match on January 6.
This will be the 234th competitive meeting between the two giants of Italian football since their maiden official match in 1901.
Juventus have dominated this fixture having recorded 91 wins compared to Milan's 67 victories, while 75 matches ended in a draw.
Their last meeting in the league was on 7 July 2020 and Milan emerged 4-2 winners in an encounter which took place at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, more commonly known as the San Siro.
Elsewhere, Second-placed Inter Milan will be away to UC Sampdoria at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris. The two teams will meet for the 50th time across all competitions since 1993.

Inter have the upper hand in this fixture, having registered 26 wins compared to Sampdoria's nine victories, while 14 games ended in a draw.
The last meeting between the two teams in the league was on 21 June 2020 and Inter defeated Sampdoria 2-1 in a game which was played at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
Arturo Vidal, the Inter midfielder, says they need to improve in order to stand any chance of clinching this season's Scudetto.
"Inter already came close to winning the Scudetto last year, but mistakes were made at moments when there shouldn’t have been any," Vidal said.
"We’re a united team but need to improve and try not to repeat the same errors.”

FC Crotone are scheduled to welcome three-time Serie A champions AS Roma to the Stadio Ezio Scida as the visitors aim to build on their strong start to the campaign.
This will be the fifth competitive meeting between the two clubs since 2016 when Crotone were promoted to the Serie A for the first time in their history.
Roma have been very dominant in this fixture having recorded four wins out of their four matches against the Calabria club. Their last meeting in the league was on 18 March 2018 and Roma secured a routine 2-0 win in a game which took place at the Stadio Ezio Scida.
