Genesis Invitational, which is the seventh event on the 2025 PGA Tour schedule, will be played in San Diego, California, USA between 13 and 16 February.
What to know about the tournament
This tournament was first played 99 years ago in 1926 as the Los Angeles Open and it is often the concluding event of the tour's "West Coast Swing" early in the calendar year, before the tour moves east to Florida.
Following the demise of The National tournament after 2018, which was run by the Tiger Woods Foundation, the Genesis Open was converted to an invitational for 2020, with a larger purse and a smaller field.

The 2025 Genesis Invitational was moved from Riviera Country Club to Torrey Pines Golf Course, South Course, in San Diego due to the January 2025 Southern California wildfires.
Tiger Woods was set to return to competitive golf at the 2025 Genesis Invitational, but the American sports icon has had to withdraw from the PGA tournament following the death of his mother.

The 2025 Genesis Invitational Open will be headlined by the defending champion Hideki Matsuyama, and top-class golfers Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Ludvig Åberg, and Collin Morikawa.
The winner of the 2021 tournament Max Homa and Thomas Detry, who won the most recent event in the 2025 PGA Tour schedule, WM Phoenix Open, will also be part of the 72-player field.
What Is At Stake
The Genesis Invitational will see golfers compete for a share of the $20 million purse, with the 2025 champion receiving a check of $4 million.
The winner of this event will also receive 700 FedEx Cup points, a yet-to-be-determined amount of OWGR points, and a stunning trophy.
